Stewardship 2025

“The church is like a solid, large, old tree planted by a creek, and that tree isn’t going anywhere. What’s more—it continues to yield much fruit to give life.” —Rev. Sarah Campbell, October 2024

Your 2025 pledge is integral for Creekside UCC in the coming year. It’s a call to support our ministries’ growth of faith to enrich lives, and an act of love as we strive to walk Jesus’ path together.

At Creekside, our yearly pledge is not simply filling out a form and checking a box. We are motivated by a spiritual desire to further God’s work helping others. Please prayerfully consider your pledge and consider our:

  • deepening roots, enabling growth and drawing strength from Creekside’s 100 years building a strong foundation of faith—together.
  • support for our broadening branches reaching out—sustaining love and justice
  • thoughtful and intentional structure to act boldly for change

Below is a sample of what we do together at Creekside UCC with your energy and financial support. What draws you in to help satisfy your spirit and mind? How can you give generously to support that?

Earthwise, Groundwise, Immigration, Affordable Housing, Queer Rights Coalition, Addiction & Recovery, Thresholds End of Life, ISAIAH Children Youth & Family, Befrienders, Hot Dish, Prayer Shawl, Prayerways, Garden Team, Contemporary Theology, Women’s Spirituality, Land Acknowledge, Rediscovering the Bible, Community & Belonging, Centering Prayer, Senior Men’s Fellowship, Women of a Certain Age, Young Adults, Creekside Foundation, Music, Global Justice, Early Childhood Education, Race Matters, Stewardship Ministry, Worship…

As you discern how to give generously, consider the modern tithe in which we give:

  • At least 5 percent of income to Creekside UCC, and
  • At least 5 percent to other initiatives or programs near and dear to your heart.
  • Pledging is now available online through Realm, and you should receive a pledge card in the mail that you can bring forward on Consecration Sunday, November 16, when we ceremoniously set aside our pledges for God’s service of love and justice.

Reserve Sunday morning, November 16, and join us for:

  • A music-filled service to bring forward your 2026 financial pledge.
  • A powerful sermon from Dr. Kelly Sherman-Conroy, a proud member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe and Associate Pastor at All Nations Indian Church, Minneapolis. She is a storyteller, poet, philosopher, pastor, lover of all art forms, and a mom. As the first Native woman to earn a PhD in theology within the ELCA, she uniquely combines Indigenous spirituality and Christian teachings to foster healing relationships and reconciliation.
  • Fellowship with a tasty brunch from 9 to 11:30 am hosted by the Stewardship Ministry.
