Join fellow Creekside UCC members, former clergy, and other special guests to celebrate that our church is rejoicing 100 years. Our special events include a gathering that includes a fundraising element for social justice ministries—a hallmark of Creekside UCC.

Saturday, May 10, 6-9 pm
Museum of Russian Art, former Mayflower Church building. The event is sold out.

Sunday, May 11, 10 am
8:45 am: Q&A with UCC President and General MinisterRev. Dr. Karen Georgia Thompson
10 am: One service with the Rev. Dr. Karen Georgia Thompson preaching. Also the premiere of two anthems commissioned for just such an occasion: “Let Us Awaken” has been composed by Jocelyn Hagen for the Adult Choir, and “Come, Where the Waters of Welcome Flow” has been composed by Mark Miller for the Youth Choir.

Sunday, May 18, 11 am
All-church picnic on May 18 after the 10:00 am Spring-Into-Summer service.

Other Exciting Activities

  • 100 Years of Mayflower: A Journey of Steadfast Faith, a video of the overview of the many changes, challenges, and progress of 100 years. It’s a celebration of our rich past as we move forward toward the future. The video was created by David Carey as a gift to the congregation.
  • From Mayflower to Creekside: Our Journey Continues, a book chronicling our history over the past 25 years will be revealed. A retrospect on embracing our past as we journey ahead. One book per family will be available at no cost on Sunday, May 11 and 18.

About the Creekside Reparative Justice Fund

$10 of ever registration for the May 10 event has been designated as a charitable contribution to the Creekside Reparative Justice Fund. The fund supports Indigenous and Black-led organizations in the Twin Cities that are engaged in work of racial justice and land recovery.
